Surprisingly, Tinggal Meninggal serves up dark comedy, satire, and mental health themes like a pro. It’s not just fun to watch you also get pulled into Gema’s super messy headspace. He’s weird, kinda nuts, talks to himself, has no friends, and comes from a morally broken family. Plus, the whole “breaking the 4th wall” thing really works here it makes you feel like you’re right there with him, watching his bizarre little world spiral.
One of the best directorial debut films I've seen!.
