Ghost in the Cell (2026)

The premise is really intriguing, and honestly, I was quite amazed by this film. It blends horror and comedy really well. But unfortunately, Joko Anwar doesn’t feel as strong when it comes to writing the third act it loses some of its impact. On top of that, the political satire and underlying themes are delivered a bit too on-the-nose. It feels very blunt, almost like listening to a public service announcement.
