Overview

"To save her daughter Kokab from a forced marriage, Bibi takes the deed to a plot of land—her mahriyeh (dowry)—to the Asadi Real Estate Agency to sell it. Another agent, Shakouri, who has long sought to buy this land, realizes that Bibi is unaware of its true value. The two agents conspire to swindle the land from her for a pittance.
