Somehow I never found these "Last of the Mohican" style of adventure films particularly engaging. This one features the Delaware tribe, whom Colonel George Washington (James Seay) and his pioneering comrade "Gist" (John Ridgely) want to join their (British) side in the conflict with the encroaching French troops. Meantime, the glamorous "Miss Leeds" (Mary Castle) is trying to schmooze their prince "Hannoc" (Jon Hall) into joining the opposing side. Who will prevail? Well that is not really ever in doubt, and along the way I found the rather set-piece, studio bound, escapades all a bit predicta…
