When I was in San Francisco, the first place I went and the first thing I did was go to City Lights and buy a copy of "Howl." Back then, when City Lights published it, it was the liberals fighting against censorship and the "Nazis" fighting to censor things on moral grounds. Now, in 2020, the very concept of Free Speech is considered "Nazi" and the left is fighting to censor as much as they can on moral grounds.
