Originless could have been a decent watch, if it had only made its mind up about what it wanted to be. Instead, this film oscillates between being an action vampire flick and a art house affair, with lots of dark vampiric sets pieces, accompanied by drippy, sort of classical, music. The results a not overly watchable film, that ended up annoying this viewer, with its inconsistent treatment. Instead, this film oscillates between being an action vampire flick and a art house affair, with lots of dark vampiric sets pieces, accompanied by drippy, sort of classical, music. The latter is, in large part, by way of origin story, which, given the title and the opening scenes, was not really necessary. At least not to this degree.
