“I even tried phone sex, but they were engaged.” This has a little of “Harvey” (1950) to it, only it’s not an invisible rabbit but an invisible girlfriend (“Poppy”) that becomes the apple of the eye of “Pete” (Noël Fielding). He has a particularly full relationship with this fictitious lass, until she declares over breakfast in a café one morning that she is pregnant. The shellshocked “Pete” doesn’t react so well, so they split up.
