The Caliph of Baghdad tries to flee the invading hordes with his young son - but at the point of escape is betrayed by his ambitious brother and killed. The boy (Sabu) however, manages to escape and ends up with a troupe of travelling performers including the beautiful "Sherazade" (Maria Montez) and sets about reclaiming what is rightfully his.
