Sanjeev Rajsingh Parmar (born November 20, 1973) is an Indian film director, producer, costume designer, and poet, best known for his directorial debut, Chambal Paar (2026), which received widespread acclaim and was showcased at several prestigious national and international film festivals. Sanjeev is recognized for his tremendous work in period costume, particularly in Pinjar, Paheli, Upnishad Ganga, Haat, Swarajya Samhita, and Samrat Prithviraj, earned him a Filmfare Award nomination in 2023 for Best Costume Design. His notable costume design credits also include Budhia Singh – Born to Run, Dekh Indian Circus, Thai Massage, Mr. Kabaadee, K-5, Runecha Ka Raaja, and Naina. His designs are widely admired for their historical depth, cultural authenticity, and character-driven aesthetics.
Alongside filmmaking, Sanjeev is a published poet and songwriter in Hindi, Urdu, and Brij. He has authored a poetry collection titled Kash and wrote the title song “Chalat Chalat” for Chambal Paar. He actively works to promote the Brij language through literature and cinema and has a deep passion for Bollywood music and lyrical traditions. Beyond cinema, he manages his ancestral farm in Dholpur, Rajasthan, and is committed to environmental conservation and tree planting.
