Ricardo Mendoza

Ricardo Gabriel Mendoza Castillo was born on April 27, 1990 in Lima. Coming from a lower middle class family, he is the nephew of the Peruvian actor and comedian Carlos Alcántara, with whom he works on his projects. He studied the Faculty of Communications from which he dropped out. He began his artistic career at the age of ten in 2000, participating in the Peruvian children's program María Pía y Timoteo as part of the children's staff. But it was not until 2009, when Mendoza Castillo would definitively focus on comedy, performing in stand-up, appearing in different bars and other places in the Peruvian capital. He was part of the comedy cast Fraternidad X, in which he led the group, with whom he performed in the show La noche es íntimo with Karl Bond in 2013. Prior to that, he participated in a clown workshop. Thanks to his artistic experience, he was invited by his uncle Carlos Alcántara to take part in his biographical film ¡Asu mare! in 2012, where he played the role of "Tarrón", one of the best friends of the protagonist "Cachín". After the success of the film, Mendoza reprised the same role in the 2015 and 2018 sequels.
