Early Life and Education
Leona's passion for storytelling and visual arts began early in life. She honed her skills by attending Theatre Pi, where she took acting classes, and further developed her craft through film directing classes under the mentorship of Filip Mateski. These experiences provided a solid foundation for her career as a filmmaker, shaping her unique artistic vision.
Career
Leona launched her career in 2024 with the release of her debut short film, The Language of Us. The film explores themes of love and communication, transcending cultural and linguistic barriers, and garnered widespread acclaim for its heartfelt narrative and compelling direction.
Her second major project, Colors I Never Knew, was also released in 2024. Created specifically for the prestigious Giffoni Film Festival, the film won first place, solidifying Leona’s reputation as an emerging talent on the international stage.
