Overview

Nell Serrano is a broke and newly single self-described disaster. She works to restart the life and career she left behind some 10 years ago. When writing obituaries is the only job she can find, Nell starts getting life advice from an unlikely (and dead) source.

It's not overtly woke, and that goes a very very long way with me. It's heart warming, there is an old white man who isn't evil (which is a huge change), it's uplifting. It's diverse without the plot being about the diversity. It's... gasp... even a show that you can watch with the entire family. I actually appreciate it even if the humor doesn't exactly land, the jokes might fall a little flat, but it's still charming enough to muscle through it all and win the audience over. If it stays on this path, the not political heartwarming and charming path, it might find a large audienc…
