Overview

Everyone in the neighbourhood knows everyone else's business — or so they think. When Jabal decides he's done waiting and sets out to find the man who killed his father, the community he grew up in starts to crack open. Old secrets surface, loyalties shift, and the people he thought he knew turn out to be strangers. Set in the heart of old Damascus, this is a story about revenge, but really it's about what people hide.
