Day One (2026)

"Day One" does a few things moderately well but remains a rather formulaic sci-fi crime thriller. If you were expecting anything novel or thought-provoking, you won't find much on offer from this Spanish series. It's a very mild cautionary tale about the risks associated with AI and big tech, but this is, at its core, a crime thriller. Predictably there's the usual woke content and a warning about how social media needs policing, even, no doubt, if that means taking away people's right to privacy, as we are seeing in Australia.
