Facts and sources
Every fact on MovieMandala comes from a source we can link: an official announcement from the studio or platform, a reputable news outlet, or open data such as Wikidata. We list sources at the bottom of each page. We don't copy data from other film sites or apps.
Release dates
A confirmed date has been announced by the studio, distributor or platform. An expected date has been reported but isn't official yet, and it can move. We never guess a date.
Where to watch
Each platform claim shows the date we last checked it. We check on the platform's Indian app or website; where a platform's own pages cannot be read, we use its official partner listing (for example Airtel Xstream's listing of JioHotstar titles), and the page says so. Every claim has a recheck date. If we haven't rechecked in time, we stop naming the platform until we have. When we can't confirm availability, we say so rather than guess.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to research facts, keep track of sources and write first drafts. That includes the "who it suits" notes, which are drafted from sourced facts such as genre, story, certificate and runtime. The founder approves every page before it's published. AI never invents viewing experiences, figures, quotes or availability.
"Who it suits" is guidance to help you choose, not a review. We label curation as curation.
Reviews
We publish a review only when a named person has watched the film. Each review says who watched it, when, and how: in a theatre, on a subscription, or at a press screening.
Images
Our images are our own artwork. We don't use posters, film stills or press photos as page images, and our artwork never shows real actors. Trailers are official YouTube embeds.
Independence
No studio or platform pays for a place in our picks. If we ever use affiliate links or sponsored content, we will label them clearly on the page.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. See corrections.
