The story
A laid-off worker and his wife are struggling to get by. A documentary filmmaker and her husband live a far more comfortable life. When the filmmaker decides to follow the worker and his wife for a film, the two couples are drawn into each other's lives, and the project brings both marriages face to face with their differences and with desires each partner has kept hidden.

Background
Possible Love is the first film in eight years from South Korean director Lee Chang-dong, whose earlier works include Poetry and Burning. It stars Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong, an ensemble Netflix called one of the biggest gatherings of Korean acting talent in a single film. Netflix backed it as a theatrical-first release.
It was selected for the main competition of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize, and for the Special Presentations section in Toronto. South Korea chose it as its entry for the Best International Feature Oscar. The film opened in Korean cinemas on 23 September 2026 and in several other countries in October, before arriving on Netflix worldwide on 6 November 2026. Netflix India offers Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs.
