Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 will start streaming on Prime Video on Thursday 12 November 2026, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. Prime Video announced the date on social media, Outlook India reported on 5 November; Hollywood Reporter India reported the same date on 4 November, for India and more than 240 countries.
That is four weeks after the film opened in cinemas on 15 October. The short window is reportedly why national multiplex chains did not play the Hindi version, which ran only in regional chains and single screens. Outlook, citing trade figures, reports a worldwide gross of over ₹820 crore.
Reports that the streaming version will include about 30 minutes of extra footage have not been confirmed by the makers or Prime Video.
What it means for viewers
If you could not find a Hindi show near you, the Hindi version comes to Prime Video on 12 November with a subscription. The film is a sequel to Jailer and is rated U/A 16+, so it is not for younger children.
