Anirudh Ravichander has left King, Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller due in theatres on 24 December 2026, according to a Bollywood Hungama report on 30 October. The report says a packed schedule is the reason, that Anirudh has given the film the theme track he composed, and that Sachin–Jigar, who were already writing the songs, will now also compose the background score.
Neither Red Chillies Entertainment nor the composers have commented publicly, so treat this as a report until it is confirmed.
Music news is moving fast: T-Series has taken King's global music rights, and the first song is expected around Shah Rukh Khan's birthday on 2 November. The release date of 24 December is unchanged.
