King's overseas release moves from YRF to Phars Films, reports say
Bollywood Hungama and Pinkvilla report that Phars Films will release Shah Rukh Khan's King overseas; Pen Marudhar still distributes in India.
By Movie Mandala ·
Phars Films will handle the overseas release of King instead of Yash Raj Films, according to reports in Pinkvilla (30 October) and Bollywood Hungama (1 November). Bollywood Hungama says Shah Rukh Khan called YRF head Aditya Chopra before the switch. Neither company has announced the change.
In India, Pen Marudhar remains the distributor, and the theatrical release date of 24 December 2026 is unchanged.
For viewers in India nothing changes yet: King opens in cinemas on 24 December, and no streaming partner has been announced. We will update the King page when the trailer, certificate or OTT partner is confirmed.
