The story
Two years after the events of Godzilla Minus One, in 1949, Japan is slowly rebuilding after the war and Godzilla's attack. Toho's official synopsis says the country was reduced to zero by war and plunged into minus by Godzilla. Just as people have won back a fragile peace, a new threat strikes. The film's trailers reveal King Ghidorah, and the tagline reads: "There is no third time. Everything ends here."
Spoiler-free: only the set-up.
Who it suits
Made for kaiju and disaster-film fans, and for anyone who saw Godzilla Minus One, since most of its cast returns. The CBFC certificate is not yet published; in the US it is rated R for violent content and bloody images, a first for a Godzilla film.
