Background
Jumanji: Open World follows Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), and Sony bills it as the final chapter of that trilogy. Jake Kasdan directs again and co-wrote it with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. Columbia Pictures and Seven Bucks Productions produce. Filming began in Los Angeles in November 2025 and wrapped on 30 March 2026.
Sony first dated the film for 11 December 2026, then moved it to 25 December, away from Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three. The title was revealed at CinemaCon in April 2026. Sony Pictures India's trailer gives 25 December for India, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, the same as the US date. No streaming partner has been announced.
