The story
In Assam, a schoolboy named Appu discovers that his beloved dog has gone missing, and he sets out to track him down, using every clue he can find. Far away in Bihar, a loyal dog named Oscar is left behind when his young caretaker, Prince, is kidnapped, and the dog begins his own search to find the boy. Pankaj Tripathi plays a respected local teacher drawn into Oscar's search, as the two stories of children and animals who refuse to give up on each other run side by side.

Who it suits
A natural choice for families with children and for anyone who loves dogs. It is rated U/A and runs about two and a half hours, with a kidnapping plot that may worry very young viewers, so it works best for children who are a little older.

Background
Ohh My Dog was directed by Amit Rai, who earlier made OMG 2 (2023) with Pankaj Tripathi, and produced by Rajesh Bhardwaj, Amit Rai and Sana Warsi. Its two stories are set in Assam and Bihar, and a dog named Bruno plays Oscar.
The film was due in cinemas on 31 July 2026 but was pushed to 7 August 2026. The CBFC passed it U/A on 23 July. It had a modest box-office run, with Bollywood Hungama putting its India total at about ₹5 crore. It began streaming on Netflix on 1 October 2026, and in its first two weeks there it appeared in Netflix India's weekly film Top 10, at No. 9 and then No. 7.
