The story
Anvita and her husband Alok's newborn daughter vanished from the hospital nine years ago. Every year since, on the child's birthday, a disturbing package arrives that keeps the search alive. Anvita has never stopped looking, even as her mother-in-law wants the case closed and Inspector Khurana's investigation goes cold. When a new lead points to a girl living with another family, Anvita starts to suspect the people around her, while visions she cannot explain make her doubt what she sees.

Who it suits
A slow-burn psychological mystery for adults and older teens who like domestic thrillers built on suspicion. Netflix rates it U/A 16+; there are seven episodes of 32 to 44 minutes each, so it can be finished over a weekend.

Background
Shaque: Trust No One is a Netflix original series created by Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra. D'Silva wrote and directed it, and Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra produced it under Alchemy. It is Parineeti Chopra's first web series. The makers first planned to call it Shaque, worked on it for a time as Talaash: A Mother's Search, and settled on the final title before release.
Netflix listed it in its India slate in February 2026 and held the trailer launch on 10 September. Season 1, with seven episodes, premiered on 24 September 2026. It streams in Hindi with English, Tamil and Telugu dubs. It was No. 1 on Netflix India's weekly TV Top 10 in its first two weeks and was still in the list in its fourth week.
