Background
Gunmaaster G9 reunites Emraan Hashmi, director Aditya Datt and composer Himesh Reshammiya about two decades after Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005). Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir produce under Soham Rockstar Entertainment and SRE Studios. Junaid Wasi and Sarim Momin wrote it. The film was announced in July 2025, with filming in Mumbai and an Uttarakhand–Delhi schedule planned for June 2026.
In May 2026 the producer said he was eyeing a Dussehra release on 16 October. In August the makers fixed 27 November 2026 instead. Bollywood Hungama reported in September that PEN Marudhar won the all-India theatrical distribution rights. It is a Hindi original and opens on the same day as Mysaa. No streaming partner has been announced.
