Background
Harrd Disk was written, directed and produced by Udoyrraj Baruah, and backed by Common Enterrtainment in association with Nayamigro Media and Xanthin. Nanda Yadav, known for Why Cheat India, plays Lakshmi and is also one of the producers, with Jaihind Kumar and Arnav Chandel in the other lead roles. Baruah has said the idea came from the power of information today: a single file or recording can change the fate of people and even governments, so he turned that into a physical object, a hard disk, landing in an ordinary man's hands.
The makers unveiled the first poster on 5 August 2026 and the trailer on 13 August. The CBFC passed the film with an A certificate and a running time of about 90 minutes, and it opened in cinemas on 21 August 2026. It was a small release with little press coverage, and no streaming platform has been announced.
