The story
In Mumbai, a man named Azad and a group of six women hijack a metro train and hold the passengers hostage. Their demand is not money for themselves but money from a powerful arms dealer, Kalee, to clear the debts of struggling farmers. Narmada Rai, the officer sent to negotiate with them, soon finds that Azad is the respected jailer of a women's prison. As the group stages more crimes aimed at exposing corruption, a separate story from thirty years earlier begins to surface.
