The story
Sinha, a wealthy businessman, wants to dodge his taxes by making a hugely expensive film that is designed to flop. His secretary Dubey suggests hiring a washed-up hero and two clueless directors, and assembles a giant cast and crew around actor Rajiv Kohli and his former lover Nadia. Then two gangsters, Yeda Anna Shetty and Romeo, force their way into big roles. The film within the film is about an army mission to rescue a village, and the shoot soon runs into accidents, misunderstandings and runaway costs.

Who it suits
Made for fans of the earlier Welcome films and of loud, crowded slapstick led by Akshay Kumar. It is rated U/A 16+ and runs about two hours and three quarters, with crude jokes and glamour numbers, so it suits older teens and adults.

Background
Welcome to the Jungle is the third film in the Welcome series, after Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015). Ahmed Khan directed it from a script credited to the late Neeraj Vora, and Firoz Nadiadwala produced it. Shooting began in December 2023 on a 10-acre jungle set in Mumbai and in the UAE, stalled in 2025 over funding, and finished in December 2025.
The CBFC passed it U/A 16+ on 22 June 2026 after 18 cuts and changes. It opened on 26 June 2026 after paid previews the night before, and took ₹18.73 crore on day one including previews. Wikipedia records a worldwide gross of ₹196.10 crore, with ₹162.50 crore from India. It began streaming on JioHotstar in Hindi on 21 August 2026.
