The story
Industrialist Seth Harikrishan's last wish is to see the bride of his only grandson and heir, Prem. When the old man falls seriously ill, his friend and doctor Farid urges Prem to bring his girlfriend Rita home, but she is stranded in snowbound Srinagar after a fashion show. Prem asks his public relations officer Jagdish to hire a model to stand in for her. Instead, Jagdish brings Kammo, an unschooled flower seller with whom Prem and Rita have already clashed.
Spoiler-free: only the set-up.
Who it suits
A gentle, song-heavy family comedy-drama about a pretend romance, with no violence, that suits viewers who like 1970s Rajshri films. Younger viewers used to faster films may find the pace slow.
