The story
Dhadakpur, a village in Bihar, is about to celebrate 25 years without a single crime. Banwari Jha's family is busy preparing for his daughter Roshni's wedding, and the groom has demanded a brand-new motorbike as dowry. The bike arrives to great excitement, but it is stolen that same night, with only eight days left before the ceremony. With the jubilee trophy, the wedding and the village's reputation at stake, Roshni's family and her old admirer Amavas set off on a frantic hunt to get the two-wheeler back.

Who it suits

Background
Dupahiya ("two-wheeler") is a Prime Video original created by Avinash Dwivedi, Chirag Garg, Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani, written by Dwivedi and Garg, and directed by Sonam Nair for Bombay Film Cartel. It is set in the fictional village of Dhadakpur in Bihar.
The nine-episode first season premiered on Prime Video on 7 March 2025 and drew generally positive reviews; Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave it 3 out of 5 and called it clean, socially relevant family entertainment. Season 2, with eight episodes, premiered on 1 October 2026. It brings back the main cast and adds Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua), with a story built around a 5G mobile tower coming to Banwari's land and Roshni's SSC exam. Both seasons stream in Hindi.
