The story
Four years after a magic spell made the world forget Peter Parker, he lives alone and works full time as Spider-Man, protecting New York while staying away from MJ and Ned so they stay safe. When a mysterious telepath who can jump from body to body begins attacking government facilities, Peter is pulled into the case. At the same time, stress and loneliness start changing his body: his senses sharpen, he can shoot webs from his own wrists, and he begins to fear he is turning into something he cannot control.

Background
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man film, following Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), and the 38th MCU film overall. Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios and Pascal Pictures produced it, and its title comes from the 2008 comic storyline that reset Spider-Man's story. It was filmed from August to December 2025 in Glasgow and England.
It premiered in Los Angeles on 27 July 2026 and opened in Indian cinemas on 30 July in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The CBFC passed it U/A 13+ after removing eight seconds of kissing and muting some words. Wikipedia records a worldwide gross of about $2.5 billion, making it the highest-grossing Spider-Man film and the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India. In October 2026 it became available to rent on Prime Video in India, with a Hindi audio track, ahead of any subscription streaming release.
