This list covers Hindi films about the armed forces, India's wars, intelligence missions and the freedom struggle, all streaming in India now. Every pick has a Hindi audio track, and we checked each one on the platform's Indian app or site. The check date is on each title page. RRR is the only dubbed film; the rest were made in Hindi.

Many of these films are based on real events but change names, characters or details, so we note where a film is fiction or where its version of events has been disputed. The title pages give more background.

We ranked the picks by how closely they match what this searcher wants: films about real soldiers and wars first, then spy missions, then historical and freedom-struggle stories.

On certificates: most picks are U/A with combat violence. Gunjan Saxena is U, Chhaava is U/A 16+, and Dhurandhar: The Revenge is rated A.
