This list is for anyone looking for action films in Hindi to stream at home in India. It covers Hindi originals, from spy thrillers to period war epics and the 1975 classic Sholay, plus South Indian blockbusters that have an official Hindi dub. Every pick has a Hindi audio track, and we checked each one on the platform's Indian app or site. The check date is on each title page.

We ranked the films by how well they suit someone who wants action first: how much of the runtime goes to fights, chases and battles, and how easy each film is to start. Sequels sit right after the films they follow, so series stay in order. Several of the South films come in more than one listing, so follow the note in the "where" line to get the Hindi version.

On certificates: most picks are U/A, but Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Salaar are rated A and meant for adults.

Hindi originals

  1. 1

    Pathaan

    Prime VideoCBFC U/A146 min

If you want one modern Hindi action film to start with, this is the safest bet. Shah Rukh Khan's RAW agent hops from Dubai to Spain to Russia, and the set pieces never let up: chases, gunfights and a lot of close-quarters brawling. It is U/A and 146 minutes, a fair fit for teens and adults. Fans of the YRF Spy Universe also get Salman Khan's Tiger in a cameo.

    Jawan

Netflix (streams as Jawan: Extended Cut)CBFC U/A169 min

Atlee brings South-style mass action to Hindi cinema here, and Shah Rukh Khan plays two roles. A metro hijack opens a story that keeps returning to farmer debt and failing hospitals, so the fights carry a social point. The cinema version was U/A and ran 169 minutes; the longer Netflix extended cut is rated A there. Pick it for spectacle with a message.

  3. 3

    War

    NetflixCBFC U/A155 min

War is the pick for anyone who cares most about stunts. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff play mentor and student agents, and the film is built around car and bike chases and fistfights shot across several countries. It is rated U/A, runs 155 minutes and has plenty of gunplay. Watch it before War 2 if you want to follow Kabir's story in order.

  4. 4

    Uri: The Surgical Strike

    ZEE5CBFC U/A138 min

For action grounded in real events rather than fantasy, Uri works well. Vicky Kaushal plays a fictional Para Special Forces officer, and the film spends as much time on planning the 2016 strike as on the combat that follows. It is U/A, a tight 138 minutes, and split into five chapters. The gun violence is sustained, so it suits teens and older viewers best.

  5. 5

    Chhaava

    NetflixCBFC U/A 16+161 min

Chhaava is the period war epic on this list, with Vicky Kaushal as the Maratha ruler Sambhaji facing Aurangzeb's armies. Choose it if you like large battles, horses and swords over guns and gadgets. It is rated U/A 16+ and runs 161 minutes, and it has graphic torture scenes. Some historians and public figures have disputed parts of how it shows history.

  6. 6

    Dhurandhar: The Revenge

JioHotstar (the India stream is the extended cut)CBFC A229 min

This is the heaviest film here, and it is for adults only. Ranveer Singh's undercover agent works deep inside Karachi's gang wars, and the action is brutal. It is rated A for gore, torture and drug use, and at 229 minutes it needs an evening of its own. It is the second part of a two-film story, so watch Dhurandhar (2025) first.

  7. 7

    Sholay

    Prime Video198 min

Every Hindi action film above owes something to Sholay. Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan play two crooks hired to fight the dacoit Gabbar Singh, and the 1975 film mixes train robberies, shootouts and comedy in the style of a Western. It runs 198 minutes and has some violent scenes. Watch it if you want to see where Bollywood's mass-action style began.

South Indian films in Hindi

  1. 8

    K.G.F: Chapter 2

Prime Video (choose the title marked Hindi)CBFC U/A168 min

KGF 2 was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2022 in India, and it is the bigger, louder half of the story. Yash's Rocky now rules the gold fields and faces Sanjay Dutt's warlord Adheera, and the gunfights get much bigger. It is U/A for its violence and runs 168 minutes. Watch Chapter 1 first, since this picks up straight from it.

  2. 9

    K.G.F: Chapter 1

    Prime VideoCBFC U/A155 min

The first KGF builds Rocky's rise from a Bombay street boy to an enforcer who walks into the Kolar Gold Fields. It is slower than the sequel and shows more of his world before the big clashes. It is rated U/A, but the killings and forced-labour scenes are harsh. The runtime is 155 minutes, and it sets up everything in Chapter 2.

  3. 10

    RRR

Netflix (choose RRR (Hindi))CBFC U/A182 min

RRR is a good fit when you want action the whole family can talk about afterwards. Rajamouli imagines a friendship between two real freedom fighters in 1920s Delhi, and the fights are staged like stunt shows, with songs including the Oscar-winning Naatu Naatu. It is U/A and runs 182 minutes, with intense fights and scenes of colonial cruelty.

  4. 11

    Baahubali: The Beginning

Netflix (choose the title marked Hindi Version)CBFC U/A158 min

Baahubali is fantasy action on a grand scale: a waterfall climb, palace plots and a huge war sequence near the end. The Hindi dub was the biggest dubbed hit in Hindi when it came out. It is U/A and runs 158 minutes, with war violence on a large scale. The story stops mid-way, so plan to watch Part 2 next.

  5. 12

    Baahubali 2: The Conclusion

Netflix (choose the title marked Hindi Version)CBFC U/A171 min

The second Baahubali goes back in time to tell the story of the rivalry between two princes over a throne and a warrior princess. The battles are bigger than in Part 1, and the family drama is closer to the Mahabharata. It is rated U/A and runs 171 minutes. Watch it right after The Beginning to finish the story.

    Pushpa: The Rise

MX Player (free with ads, via the MX Player channel on Prime Video; Hindi version)179 min

Pushpa is rough, forest-set crime action, and the Hindi version streams free with ads. Allu Arjun plays a labourer who rises inside a red sandalwood smuggling ring by beating the police at their own game. It runs about 179 minutes and has frequent ambushes and fights. Start here before Pushpa 2, as the sequel builds on his rivalries.

  7. 14

    Pushpa 2: The Rule

Netflix (Reloaded Version, with Hindi audio)CBFC U/A200 min

The sequel turns up the scale, pitting Pushpa against Fahadh Faasil's police officer and his own political ambitions. The Hindi dub uses Shreyas Talpade's voice for Allu Arjun. The film is rated U/A even after cuts for violence, and it runs 200 minutes; the Netflix Reloaded cut adds more than 20 minutes. Best for viewers who already enjoyed the first film.

  8. 15

    Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire

    JioHotstar (Hindi version)CBFC A175 min

From the KGF director, Salaar is the darkest South pick here. Prabhas heads the cast in the story of a quiet mechanic pulled back into the power fights of a lawless city-state, and the violence is graphic. It carries an A certificate and was released without cuts, so it is for adults. It runs 175 minutes and ends on a cliffhanger for Part 2.
