13 of the best Hindi web series to stream in India, from Panchayat and Kota Factory to The Family Man and Paatal Lok, each checked on the platform.

This list covers Hindi web series you can stream in India now, split into two groups: drama and comedy first, then crime and thrillers. Only series appear here, not films. Every pick has a Hindi audio track, and each was checked on the platform's Indian app or site, with the check date on each title page. Shows that are announced but not yet streaming are left out.
Within each group, picks are ranked by how well they suit someone choosing their next Hindi series: shows that are easy to start and widely liked come first, and narrower or heavier tastes follow. Where a show has several seasons or a confusing listing, the note says where to begin or which page to open.
On certificates: these are the platforms' own age ratings, recorded on each title page. Most of the crime shows are rated A, while Gullak and Kota Factory are U/A 13+.

Drama and comedy
- 1
Panchayat
Prime Video
Start here if you want a series the whole house can settle into. Jitendra Kumar plays a city engineering graduate stuck in a village panchayat job, and the humour comes from power cuts, local politics and slow-growing friendships rather than plot twists. Four seasons are on Prime Video, with a fifth announced. Prime Video rates it U/A 16+ for tobacco, alcohol, swearing and some violence.
- 2
Kota Factory
Netflix
TVF's black-and-white drama about IIT coaching in Kota is the pick for students and parents who know the exam grind first-hand. Jeetu Bhaiya, a physics teacher who cares about his students' state of mind as much as their scores, anchors it. All three seasons are on Netflix, rated U/A 13+, and the weight comes from stress and failure, not violence.
- 3
Gullak
SonyLIVCBFC U/A 13+ (SonyLIV rating, as listed on Airtel Xstream Play)
For short, low-stakes family comedy, Gullak's five seasons on SonyLIV are the easiest binge here. Each episode is a self-contained slice of the Mishra household's small-town life, narrated by their piggy bank, and runs roughly 20 to 45 minutes. SonyLIV rates it U/A 13+, so parents and children can watch together. Season 3 turns somewhat darker, and Annu is recast in season 5.
- 4
Aspirants
Prime Video (first episode free)CBFC A (Prime Video rating)
If Kota Factory spoke to you, Aspirants moves the coaching story to Delhi's UPSC hub of Old Rajinder Nagar and follows three friends both then and years later. Watch season 1 first, since seasons 2 and 3 lean on that shared history. All three are on Prime Video, and the first episode is free. Prime Video rates it A, mostly for language and themes rather than violence.
- 5
Made in Heaven
Prime Video (not the 1987 Hollywood film of the same name)CBFC A (Prime Video rating)
Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's series suits adults who want drama with a sharper social edge. Each episode follows a lavish Delhi wedding, and the two planners keep uncovering dowry demands, prejudice and family secrets behind the decorations. Both seasons are on Prime Video. It is rated A for sexual content and strong language, and deals with homophobia, dowry and abuse.
Crime and thrillers
- 6
The Family Man
Prime Video
Raj & DK's spy series is the most rounded crime pick, mixing counter-terror missions with comedy about a Mumbai husband hiding his real job from his wife and children. Manoj Bajpayee leads all three seasons on Prime Video, the third set in North-East India. It carries an A rating on Prime Video for violence, swearing, sex and drug use, so keep it for adult viewing.
- 7
Paatal Lok
Prime Video
For slow, grim detective work, Jaideep Ahlawat's stalled Delhi inspector is hard to beat. His first case, a foiled plot against a TV news anchor, leads into caste, class and media politics far from the capital, while season 2 moves to Nagaland. Both seasons are on Prime Video with several Indian-language dubs. It is rated A for violence, nudity and substance use, with some graphic scenes.
- 8
Sacred Games
Netflix
India's first Netflix original suits viewers who want a dense crime novel on screen. Saif Ali Khan's Mumbai inspector and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's long-missing gangster carry two timelines, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. Season 1 made The New York Times' list of the decade's best international shows; season 2 drew a more mixed response. It is rated A on Netflix, with violence, sex, heavy swearing and religious and political material throughout.
- 9
Delhi Crime
NetflixCBFC A (Netflix rating)
This International Emmy winner is for viewers who want procedure and patience over action. Shefali Shah leads a Delhi Police team, and season 1 recreates the investigation into the 2012 Delhi gang rape, drawing on case records. Each of the three seasons on Netflix covers a separate case. Netflix rates it A, and the assault is described in disturbing detail, so keep it for adults only.
- 10
Mirzapur
Prime Video
Pick Mirzapur for a full-blooded gangster saga set in eastern Uttar Pradesh, with Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, the carpet exporter who runs the town's crime. Three seasons are on Prime Video, though Wikipedia notes the third drew mixed to negative reviews. It is rated A for violence, swearing, sex and drug use, with many brutal killings, so it is not one for family viewing.
- 11
Farzi
Prime Video (open the page titled Farzi, not 'Fakes (Farzi)')CBFC A (Prime Video rating)
Shahid Kapoor's counterfeiting artist and Vijay Sethupathi's task force officer make Farzi the lightest of the crime picks, with dark humour running through the chase. It has eight episodes and shares a world with The Family Man, so fans of that show should try it next. On Prime Video, the 'Fakes (Farzi)' listing shows as unavailable. It is rated A for violence and strong language.
- 12
Special OPS
JioHotstar (Special Ops 1.5 is listed separately)CBFC U/A 16+ (JioHotstar rating, as listed on Airtel Xstream Play)

Both seasons stream on JioHotstar, and a third was reported to be filming in 2026. It is rated U/A 16+, but the gory murders and disturbing violence make it better suited to adults.
